"As rich and as vibrant in detail as any of Shakespeare’s plays, Thieves’ Castle has it all — warring houses, intrigues, violence, love, death, a spymaster, & a plot that will keep you up until late into the night"

A review of Black Dog by Dean Hamilton @Tyburn__Tree A Tyburn Filos https://t.co/w19k0geWn6 Novella Writing short fiction is a very different skill than long form fiction. Hamilton has proved a master of the shorter form and I look forward to exploring his novels. In some ways this reads Elizabethan Age Jack Reacher or John Wick. Tyburn won't let a bully get away with being a thug, and he killed a dog! This is a great novella and it leaves you wanting more. Fortunately it is followed by 2 novels. This is great historical fiction. An action story I can easily recommend. #HistoricalFiction #BookReview

@TimCPeel20 You get the respect you give.
When the US president is opening threatening to annex Canada, insulting the country & calling the PM "governor of the 51st state", you think it is uncalled for or a surprise if Canadians express their anger? Grow up.
@Artemisapphire "Who am I? I am Susan Ivanova. Commander. Daughter of Andrei & Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance, & the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth! I am Death Incarnate, & the last living thing that you are ever going to see. God sent me."
@JHMoorebooks I think that's arrant nonsense. It is far more likely that other elements like gaming, social media etc. have displaced/replaced casual reading time. I suspect the claim that it is "feminization" is more an attack on that topic than a valid claim.

...in plain sight, and continued denial of this is to embrace that fact.
But at the end of the day, it's just a social media site, a bad one now, thanks to Elon.
So Kodi and I are departing to bluer skies and green fields. Feel free to look us up. All the best!
Well, I'm done.
Can't stay on this platform any longer. I'll be shifting over to Blues*y & shuttering my acct here for the foreseeable future.
Thanks to the writers, historians, journalists, & fabulous creators who, for a time, made this a great platform.
But things change...
The last few years on this platform have steadily eroded the content, lending impetus to people's worst impulses. It has steadily become a hotbed of misinformation, political extremism, racism, misogyny, overt Nazism & just plain nastiness. It has crept into every corner...
@DlawsonAuthor The harsh reality is that there really isn't any great ad marketing mechanisms for indie books - FB, Goodreads, Amazon - all are problematic. Breaking even on your ads is an achievement. Bookbub paid ads are slightly better so you might want to try there.
@DlawsonAuthor I suggest tying it into a "sale" of some type - like the Amazon KDP Select program so you can tout the reduced sale price to incite more clicks. Problem is that when you drop your book price, you also drop your royalty so now you need to sell more books to cover the costs.
@Riley_Gaines_ I suspect he's pardoning him due to the fact that a vengeful, narcissistic incompetent orange huckster who has openly stated wants revenge on his supposed enemies, is assuming the presidency.
I'd have thought that was fairly clear...
