Yesterday our class watched Matilda during our Halloween party. There was one scene they particularly enjoyed and wanted to recreate! Our "Matilda" volunteered to film her videos during recess and the rest of us worked together over 45 minutes to make her powers come to life!

Dr. Colganβs guidance and support both at Queenβs and beyond has had a positive influence on my teaching. So grateful our paths crossed. Thank you, Lynda π
Today we observed #RemebranceDay. We created a wreath to lay at the assembly and many of our students performed in the choir. Our wreath had poppies, a symbol of peace and remembrance, and maple leaves to represent the country we are proud and grateful to call home. ππ¨π¦
Todayβs math warm-up was shared with us by @wonderoom. If an ice cream shop has ten flavours of ice cream, how many different two-scoop combinations are possible?
When we came in from morning recess, we discovered we were locked out of our classroom! π Students solved addition problems which unveiled a code to gain access to our classroom key. π
Today we made the most of a difficult situation! Our field trip wasnβt able to go ahead as planned so instead we spent time in the ravine building structures, enjoyed a team building challenge in the gym, and finished off the day with math games.
Yesterday we went for a walk through the ravine to collect autumn leaves. Today, we used them to create art depicting fall landscapes! πβ°οΈβοΈ
