About thirty years ago, MLB tested out the idea of calling a baserunner out if a thrown ball happened to hit him when he was off base.

A few people loved the idea but most thought it was really stupid.

Congrats to David Wright on a historic and memorable career. He will always be my favorite player for not only his play on the field but the way he interacted with the fans, community, and media. Unfortunately his body did not cooperate these last few seasons.
