It’s a different world over here. Especially on the west coast where there’s lots of flat, long roads, dry climate and no snow/salt that eats a car alive. Cars last for 200,000 300,000 + miles out there. Where I live cars usually hit 150k by the time they’re complete junk and rotted away.
fun story:
12:30 PM: Best Buy sends me this email.
1:00 PM: Verizon calls me and says they need additional info to port my number—I provide it to them—and the call ends abruptly. Would seem my number ported immediately. I have no service.
2:00 PM: I call Verizon and tell them my number is in limbo and I still don't have a phone from Best Buy. Can they just activate my current phone until I get the new one? I'm told no, because it wasn't supposed to port that fast—and until I get my Duo from Best Buy, they can't activate a different phone.
2:30 PM: The rep says they'll call Best Buy on a group call to see if they can help get my device released to me. We've been listening to Best Buy's hold music together for 20 minutes. There's no special number for Verizon to use so she's just calling the generic Best Buy corporate customer service number.
This is a nightmare. Never buy a phone that isn't unlocked and directly from Apple. I knew this, but I couldn't get one sooner so I did what I had to do but now I fear I will still have no Duo but also no phone number.
