My brother got married today. I couldn’t be more proud of him. And I now have the best sister I could’ve asked for.
So many things lined up perfectly today, from prayer requests to unintentional numeral consistencies.
It’s been an honor to watch them grow. I’ll miss them a lot.
Apparently, one of the hockey games I recently scorekept is going somewhat viral. Unlike the vast majority of games I’ve done, this one had no mercy rule/running clock. I kind of feel bad, but that is how the game went.
I hit a milestone yesterday! I have kept track over the past three years, and I can proudly say that I have done 1,000 career games as a hockey scorekeeper.
The game went smoothly, and the referees gave me the game puck afterwards as a memento. Such a sweet gift!
It’s been at least a decade and a half since I played a proper game of hide and seek with more than two people, and I can finally say that drought is over.
I also won. 😎
I played soccer again for the first time in a while! Did pretty well, scored a couple of goals, had really good teammates, and we walked away with the win. It was a fun night :D
@2FastRL Hi can I get a quarter pound of salami, a quarter pound of pepperoni, and a half pound of white cheddar cheese, the sandwich thickness, please? :)
It was a bittersweet day yesterday, @HPScotsBaseball played their last home game of the season. Despite the game, it was probably the best multi-camera show all season. Everything looked and sounded awesome. Until next year, Scotland Yard!
I forgot to mention, I got back home and I’ve been readjusting to the time zone here in Texas. I find it interesting that I adjusted pretty quickly going to Europe, but it has taken a couple of days for me to do the same back home. I was told it was harder the other way around.
Germany was beautiful! I got to spend a weekend near the Alps and go on a hike just outside near Kempten and Ermengerst. I definitely want to come back out here again, even if the trains aren’t punctual all the time.
I think this makes a new record of the best hotel view I’ve ever had. You have the city center of Malmö, Sweden, plus the Øresund strait, plus a little bit of Copenhagen, Denmark, in the distance.
