@Masterflip_ The best batter (Soto) should hit second because he’ll have more opportunities to hit with the leadoff batter on base than the leadoff batter will have with the 8 or 9 hitters. The 3 hitter wouldn’t be a platoon if everyone was healthy.

@ACShelby1 @ernestdove He was a Rule 5 guy with nowhere to really play in the majors. He wouldn’t have played ahead of guys like Nimmo, Marte, Canha, Bader who were all here while he was a Met. He also hit above an .800 ops only 1 season in the Mets system and it was 2021 in AA.

@ernestdove I think the fact that we’re worrying about top 100 caliber guys like AJ Ewing compared to Jake Mangum’s is already a testament to how much better the org is compared to 5-10 years ago. You can provide players with everything they need but they still have to put it all together.
