Woke up this morning excited to train! I might do a wicked cardio workout this afternoon. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Lab is a great time to come in and work on technique. Getting the movements down and trying new exercises with a lighter weight is a good start before adding heavy loads. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

Music does give me an extra spark when I lift! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[PHIL HEATH @PHILHEATH]

Killin chest and triceps to Tupac never fails to give me that extra rep. What's your goto PAC track?

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Warming up is key to preventing injury! Don't miss this concept! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Squat University @SquatUniversity]

Too many athletes skip a proper warm up before lifting because they:

- Don’t think it’s important
- Don’t want to “look weak” lifting lighter weights

Little do they know a proper warm up boosts performance. So take a few minutes, don’t worry what others think & warm up well.

My all-time favorite core workouts. Great way to get those abs pumped up! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[bodybuilding @bodybuilding]

Getting results like this is worth the pain #abdominals #bodybuilding I'm jealous of his abs!

Suspension straps can result in adaptations but if maximal strength is your goal, then suspended exercises might not be the stimulus you want. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

I agree with working the muscles and learning technique to better recover @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Squat University @SquatUniversity]

Physical Therapy, Chiropractic & Athletic Training schools should teach less:

- Ultrasound
- Kinesiotape
- Ice/Heat Treatments

And more...

- Squat technique
- Deadlift technique
- KB swing technique

Train hard but don't overtrain! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Squat University @SquatUniversity]

Optimizing training is about finding the thin line between “too much” & “not enough.”

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Incorporated supersets into my arm workout today. This is great to include in hypertrophy and endurance training to keep the blood flowing. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

A pullover is a great exercise that is going to mainly work the pec's but it also works the lat's, posterior delts, and triceps as well. Incorporating multiple muscle groups into one for a great stretch on the muscles. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Working out really does boost my mood and reduces anxiety. Workout more! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Gymshark @Gymshark]

facts i’m at my happiest when i’m working out consistently

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Having a good diet can benefit gains in the gym too. It's not just about working hard... these work together and can improve performance. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Going to start to change up my reps and sets in my core exercises to 5x5 for the next couple of weeks. Focusing more on strength gains! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Every rep matters. Work harder! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Squat University @SquatUniversity]

Respect the Barbell

Most injuries in the gym don’t occur on max out day but rather the “light” days you slack off, take it easy & don’t give sufficient concentration on performing great looking lifts.

Every rep matters...

Did a variation of Barbell and Dumbbell bench today in resistance training lab. Definitely going to be sore tomorrow. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Did a lot of supersets in my arm workout today. These really fatigued me fast! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Trained back and shoulder hypertrophy this afternoon with a lot of dumbbell variations. This is great for increasing muscle mass and strength! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Excited to train legs this afternoon. I am looking to incorporate exercises that I don't normally do so I can shock my muscles and get a new stimulus in other areas that I normally don't work. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

Including cardio after your workouts can make you feel hungrier later, which can therefore help you get more calories in if you're looking to gain lean muscle mass. @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294

[Tyler Wright @TylerWrightBU]

A great variation for the barbell bench press is a neutral grip barbell bench press set up. This is going to activate the triceps more and reduces shoulder discomfort. Great exercise variation for those with banged-up shoulders! @KyleBeyerPhD #BUExSci294
