Do you think writing is its own reward, or do you have to get paid for it to be rewarding?
Me? Writing is the reward. Everything that comes afterward is just icing on the cake.
@NatalieKelda I'm actually not sure if I do? One of the things I've done is go paragraph by paragraph and rewrite them, then redraft the whole thing. So.... maybe that?

@authorjla In all seriousness; I despise piracy, and Amazon's return policy is garbage, from what little I understand of it. Unfortunately, artists are rarely fairly compensated.
From the heart, this is all 100% true.
From the brain: Chasing publishing trends is pointless. Books take two years to publish, so by the time your trend-chaser hits shelves, it could be out of fashion, anyway.
Don't follow trends. Set them.
