@NShipleyTracker@stevenniem1989@KylePorterNS He was 2nd as a major debutant at a Masters man, how is that overrated? And has added a 4th, 7th, and 12th since in just 10 major starts. And he was ranked 4th in the world by the end of his first full year as a pro. This Ludvig hate has gotten ridiculous.
@tomandmartys@gfienberg17@sowingalpha@adplacksports@BrianKirschner_ Cam took 4 years to win on Tour, Ludvig won his first year and was ranked 4th in the world his second year as a pro.
Also Ludvig gets bet so much because he may be the best ball striker in the world right now and is usually in contention. Type of player people like to bet on.
@Betgolfworld Rai is a worthy champion, not arguing that. But I think the overall setup did not test players much tee to green, evidenced by many of the top guys T2G this week not sniffing contention.
It’s a putting contest where those in contention inside top 6 in putting this week (Schmid, JT, Rai) have been below average putting this year. Not a fan of a major feeling like random luck variance.
Sign of a great major test is when short game matters so much. The reason why these events are so often won by the worlds best is because they gain so much off the tee. Not so easy to gain in that department here and I'm all for it. The probable winner here is hitting fairways+
@Betgolfworld Because we know how volatile it is historically. Rai hitting his irons great so less of a thing now, but more so with Schmidt almost winning.
Fine seeing that at the AmEx but want to see majors test players tee-to-green, and that hasn’t been the case this week.
To add on to this for my true feelings about the tournament. Golf without birdies or doubles bogies is rough*. If it’s going to be tough, it’d be nice if pars felt impressive.
Shockingly bad stuff from Scottie so far. Mismanaging the wind, leaving himself on the wrong side of every hole. These conditions seemed like they were made for him to separate in.
We just watched Aberg's putt for the lead on 9 while he was hitting his 2nd shot into 10, if you were wondering how CBS is bouncing back after the Masters.
