Jalen Brunson taking the pay cut to come to New York, getting his friends on the team and actually winning the Championship. One of the most gangster stories in NBA history
@mldiffley Both teams foul a lot it’s the playoffs. Wemby gets fouled every possession but they arent loud fouls or anything malicious. Refs call it sometimes or not. When refs miss calls for the knicks tho. These spur fouls are more egregious and you can call it from any angle you look at
Jalen Brunson's performance today is why FG% doesn't mean shit. Real killers don't see or feel a bad shooting night. They always think the next ones going in.
@bballbreakdown We were taught to leave on flight of the ball or even before when the shooter is in the air to shoot. There was not too many times I can remember where someone got behind us. I know we had one of the best transition defenses in the conference that year. It’s all philosophy.
@bballbreakdown I was a designated get back guy for our team. So my only job was to when anyone took a shot. I’m a get back to talk out the transition defense. So was the point guard. It only became tricky when the PG was on the baseline and I was at the corner at the same time.
@bballbreakdown No, it’s only related to who was designated to get back. In practices you have data for offensive rebounding. Who ever was good in the coaches eyes were allowed to go to the glass.
@bballbreakdown Yea I can see this because he also stands there looking at the shot well after he missed. James definitely at fault in some of these clips.
@bballbreakdown Even though I agree with the shooter should get back in those case scenarios. I would still send one person back atleast that’s how we did it in college.
@bballbreakdown I agree on this scenario. I don’t think James harden in that clip or the scenario you gave a shooter should go offensive rebound. He should get back. The coaches I have had in Europe use the tagging philosophy. Where this would definitely be James harden fault.
@bballbreakdown@D_West30 I don’t know if I qualify to join this discourse but I played for an nba guy speedy Claxton. The only job a shooter had to do was make the shot. One of the designated wings is going to have to sprint back and not crash the glass. (The one that is usually less athletic)
