Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who was also a trained archer and knew how to box. In 1960, she had a remarkable encounter with the paparazzi.
After warning them to leave her alone repeatedly, she beat one up. Undeterred, they continued to follow her. She retrieved a bow and arrow from her car.
Warned them one last time. And she… shot one of them with an arrow.
Anita Ekberg wasn’t bothered by paparazzi again. The La Dolce Vita star eventually lived to be 83, dying in 2015 in Rome.
‘ We can sPEnd more TIME Congratulating on Social Media than Hating’ i know people feel negative energy spreads quicker but try to go 7:3 Congratulation vs Hatin at least on it and your daze will feel better….
Maryland has a Black Governor, Baltimore has a Black Mayor and a majority of the city’s residents are ‘DEIs.’ Let’s not pretend we don’t know the real reason Republicans don’t want to spend federal money to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
They are committed to the narrative that we are less than and less competent, so they have zero problem crippling this important transportation corridor if it means getting to point the finger at Gov. Moore and Mayor Scott and accuse them of incompetence …
@KuragariNoKaze @KeneAkers True. I stopped going to the white people think-alike meetings a long time ago, and joined up with Whipped Cream and Other Delights. 🌈#blm 🙏 #WCOD#Whippedcreamandotherdelights.
@NancyMace You are a shameless disgrace to every survivor of sexual assault, including me. You willingly traded your dignity in place of the degradation and denigration of what you endured and that of thousands of women. Sit the fuck down, heretic…
Crazy when one of the Greatest Rock Stars of All Time… Dave Grohl and 1 Greatest Bands of All Time @foofighters calls you a HERO. What do you do? 🙏🏿 Makes me wanna Smash A Stage #PowerToThePatients DC https://t.co/FGKxlpEPgJ
Moscow today: people are chanting “not to war” on the day of Aleksey Navalny’s funeral. People hug #Navalny’s mother, who is crying and say: “Thank you for your son.”
Yes, Fani killed it on the stand today but something stood out to me that I think needs more attention. Before she went into the amounts of cash she keeps on hand, at home etc. She said that after her divorce in 2011 or 2012, that she began keeping money at home. As a survivor of domestic abuse, that stood out to me. My first thought was ‘that’s her getaway money.’
My first husband controlled EVERYTHING. I didn’t have my own bank acct, didn’t have a car of my own and wasn’t ‘allowed’ to drive his. He took me to work and picked me up. I never went to a grocery store alone. I will never forget the day we got into an argument at Kinkos and he took off and left me to walk home. Took about 3.5 hrs in the blistering desert heat walking along the I-10 svc road. This was the early ‘90s, before everyone had a cell phone and Uber was available.
I don’t care how smart or successful you are, if you have ever been a victim of abuse—be it physical, verbal, mental or emotional—it stays with you. That vow you make to yourself to never rely on another again. Taking back, protecting and keeping your power. So I get Fani’s frustration and anger and being questioned the way she was. Having someone who has not walked in her shoes attempt to try and shame her.
Her reasons are nobody’s business, and I have no doubt that she kept a lot of her reasons to herself. They don’t deserve to know why, they are not entitled to the part of her that guides the choices she makes in regard to her finances. That’s hers. It belongs to her and I stand with her…
