Parents, caregivers, and family members are essential partners in the success of your #Literacy program. They are the experts on their students, and they can support and reinforce at home what students are learning in school.
Nationally, the pandemic brought historic declines in achievement and caused chronic absenteeism to soar. In the districts we analyzed, the number of students who were both chronically absent and not on grade level quadrupled. Yet 40% earned Bs or better in core classes.
