Two of our pre school children spent a long time building a junk model together today. B said “it’s a playtime factory, it’s so big we ran out of masking tape” M said “we use sellotape and box to make a house”.

Weaving is a Froebelian Occupation. It fosters hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, further supporting mark making and writing. Weaving can also be taken outside, using fences or branches as the ‘loom’ and other natural materials as the ‘threads’.
