Don Norton funeral will be held at Tynemouth crematorium on Wednesday 17th December at 12:45 then back to Tynemouth CC afterwards. Incidentally the 17th would have been the great Don’s 90th birthday.

Away from cricket he spent his working life as a Physics teacher. His teaching skills never left him as he proved a supportive and encouraging mentor in his cricketing spheres. Fair he won respect of players, colleagues and administrators alike

Sad news:
Don Norton, former Chairman, President and 1st XI Captain, has passed away at the age of 89.

Everyone at TCC sends their heartfelt condolences to Marjorie and family. Don made an enormous contribution to the club over many decades and he will be deeply missed.
