"There is a great group of players, who I enjoyed working with last season, and I believe I can add value to the group, while also helping the young players coming through."

@MarkWat26521362 The how is clear. Sacrifice everything that is non core, invest in the men’s and women’s pathways relentlessly and create world class facilities. Invest, ID and retain top talent in Wales. Most importantly, say no, kill, sell, dont spend a penny on anything that is not in the core
The idea that the @WelshRugbyUnion has passed on the Hollywood consortium of passionate, successful, outside-the-box & dedicated people for a group from within the absymal failure that is the WRU, smacks of insecurity, need to control & incompetence. It is bad business. Shameful.
RCK says non Welsh players are a waste of money…..
One of the best non Welsh signings Cardiff have ever made not just because on the field actions but also for what he’s doing to try and fight for the young Welsh lads and our game as a whole.
@thepaulwilliams@TheVietGwent Yes 100%, BUT, it needs a total rebuild, streamline and prioritise the costs, but of course we can afford four teams. We turnover over well over £100m per year and by the way we can’t afford not to if we want to be a top tier 1 nations. And we must be that and get after a RWC.
@TomShanklin@MikeFromNeath1@mangorugby@simonrug It’s correct Tom, and don’t forget the £20m Covid debt was pushed down by the WRU to all four teams and remains there being paid off by the regions. So the net effect of that repayment of debt also reduces the real term funding in 2026. I have never seen it this bad, never.
Could be that actually it might be cheaper to keep a 4th team in Wales rather than pay the penalties.
As for Y11, what were they offered to bid for Cardiff, because this is all terribly convenient for the WRU, and I wouldn’t be surprised if incentives have been suggested …
The deal is not yet final.
There will be a way to fight this, to show that nobody but the WRU wants the death of Wales' most successful region.
It's time to find them and fight.
Wales need to keep 4 regions whatever happens to bring the younger players through. If current WRU intend to improve the path way where will these players play. Look at ways to improve the regions not cut them. Everyone work together. There will be a few tough years but If we don’t get this right we could well end up in tier 2 for a long time.
If they weren't already aware, the fan responses to this news on social media should tell the WRU just how badly this news is going down.
This is a disgraceful, despicable decision which will appal fans across Wales.
With drilling underway and £2m plus raised late 2025, few sensible investors should ignore @ConroyGoldplc#CGNR with 517,000ounce #gold JORC (in-situ value $2.4billion - useful size indicator) and multi million ounce targets. Around 13p to buy and market cap around £8m which is imo quite absurdly low. Early stages of a resource bull throw up these undervaluation anomalies just as later stages throw up grotesquely high valuations. Where do you wish to enter the fray?

@CF10RugbyTrust@CardiffRugbyWeb Agree with all the above. Plus from a selfish WRU perspective, you'd imagine this could be helpful in growing welsh rugby, not just Cardiff.
