Prior to the Bears' 2024 season opening game, a statue honoring and remembering former head coach Butch Pedersen was unveiled at the Little Rose Bowl. The statue stands in the northwest corner of the stadium, a place where Butch can forever be with his players and overlook the field that is named after him. Butch is home. The ceremony was narrated by Wayne Laing.
