New gas production needs to stop today, and existing gas productions needs to decline rapidly for the planet's temperature rise to be capped as low as possible.

This is a conscious, intentional act of harm done for the reasons of short term gain

Did you know that the rate of mean sea-level rise has roughly doubled since the 80s and 90s? Currently at about 4 mm per year. That may not sound like much, but it's 4 mm of inexorable ocean rise, every year, and it's accelerating rapidly.
