New AJP-CELL Call for Papers: Myogenic Stem Cells: From Single Cell Biology to Muscle Physiology
Our 3rd new manuscript this week: @DelfinisLuca found a mitochondrial-targeted compound partially prevents muscle weakness without preventing atrophy in ovarian cancer. This opens a new direction for therapies targeting muscle ‘quality’. https://t.co/tavvytrjCh
We just uploaded our next preprint on cancer-cachexia.
Shahrzad Khajehzadehshoushtar discovered 'the mitochondrial-targeted antioxidant SkQ1 prevents mitochondrial-linked apoptosis but not necroptosis or skeletal muscle atrophy in ovarian cancer'
...why is apoptosis active?
