We had a composite fabrication workshop where we learned about composite fabrication techniques, required materials, and design for composites. The team was able to get hands on experience by fabricating a composite fiberglass/foam sandwich utilizing a vacuum bagging process.

We have officially started building our rover, ATHENA! This is a big step for our team and we can't wait to continue building.

It has been a busy few weeks for the moon buggy team! Not only did we attend the 2024 STEAM FEST, but we also had the opportunity to visit with Drake State students. The team greatly values STEM outreach and has been doing all we can to get the word out about our team!

The 2023-2024 UAH Moonbuggy Team won First Place Overall and the Project Review Award in the NASA HERC Competition!! Over the course of our senior year, all of our team members put in countless hours of hard work and dedication to the design and fabrication process.
First official day of competition was amazing! We had a blast meeting teams from all over the world, and pulled off a solid first excursion! Can’t wait for day two!
