Last week, our CEO, René-Laurent Alciator, took part to the "Investment Opportunities" discussion panel during the #PointeNoireBusinessForum organized by #LesRendezVousdAfrique in Paris on the 27 of September 2024.

The Forum showcased the attractiveness of Pointe Noire as the economic hub for the Congo Basin and a population of 100 million, with logistics routes reaching well beyond into central Africa.

During his session, highlighted the pivotal role UBA Group plays in the Congolese economy, since its launch in the country in 2013; providing financial services to critical sectors such as oil & gas, port infrastructure, telecommunications, and manufacturing. He also emphasized the commitment to meeting the evolving needs of businesses across the region.

He went to explain that UBA France serves as the gateway for Europe, offering seamless connections with our UBA group entities across Africa, and delivering tailored relationship management solutions to facilitate successful investments in Congo and beyond.

The Maasai Tribe 🇰🇪🇹🇿

The Maasai tribe are an indigenous ethnic group in Africa of semi-nomadic people settled in Kenya and northern Tanzania. Due to their distinct traditions, customs and dress and their residence near the many national game parks of East Africa, the Maasai are among the foremost African ethnic groups and are known internationally because of their links to the national parks and reserves.

The Masai population is approximately 900,000 and they speak Maa, a Nilo-Saharan language related to Dinka and Nuer. They also speak Swahili and English, the official languages of Tanzania and Kenya.

Music and dance are vital to Maasai culture, marking special occasions like weddings, festivals, and rituals.
Men perform the Adamu, or jumping dance, to show strength. The higher a man can jump, the stronger he is.
