@RKPCService Apparently not if you are shopping in the UK Apple store! 😂 At least that’s what my bank tells me explaining why they wouldn’t let me pay for my purchase!
@AppleNewsUK Here is some news for you. Christmas shopping ruined when Halifax bank decides they don’t want their customers to use ApplePay in the Apple store. Apparently it’s protection from fraud. They say I MUST have carried the card too to prove that the fingerprint was mine!
@AskHalifaxBank Sorry but I can’t see your point? What fraud?
What are the chances of someone seeing my pin and stealing the card, against me contacting the bank confirming that it’s ME making a purchase, and using MY fingerprint on MY phone where I’d set up the most secure way of payment???
@AskHalifaxBank So apparently, according to Halifax Bank staff I can’t use ApplePay in an Apple store! 😂
My bank decided that I have an allowance that I can’t exceed. Great move Halifax, you are officially the most ludicrous, and now my ex- bank! #jokeoftheday
@AskHalifaxBank Not sure what kind of protection this referred to. Sounds like Halifax doesn’t trust either of the three levels of identification - telephone banking, face to face, or fingerprint!
Unless of course you are suggesting that I’m not capable to make a decision on my purchases.
@AskHalifaxBank A customer bought an item for over £2,500 right in front of me, using ApplePay with no problem. Needless to say his bank doesn’t restrict their customers but instead move into 21st century with them and for their convenience.
@AskHalifaxBank Yes I call the bank, spoke to three different individuals, one of them suggested that the Apple store had a restriction, which I know is not true. Not only I believe that the shop’s staff and manager know their policy and confirmed that they DON’T have a maximum amount, but also
@AskHalifaxBank No, I did not have my card with me. I’ve set up ApplePay for a reason and was expecting to be able to use it. Particularly in the Apple store, where it is used all the time with no limit on the amount.
@AskHalifaxBank Yes, sure. I was trying to make a purchase in an Apple store. I was one if the customers, who used (or tried in my case) to use ApplePay. There is no limit on the amount in the store, this was confirmed to me by the shop and someone paid over £2,500 right before me with ApplePay
