Taking a sabbatical due to a freak injury at practice on 9/30/2018.

Cracked skull & broke neck. Thankfully broke *straight* (chipped C2-C4).

Skull fracture healed, but not before brain infection.

Took this long to be able to look at a screen again & type.

@BricksCenter This happened in the middle of a HS game I was coaching. My team didn’t realize what happened/why the other team stopped (“incident” was on the far side of the court). Player reaction was the same (just grab it then go fix it). But, no, neither team asked to throw out a fan! 🤦‍♀️

Be thankful for every day. My brother just diagnosed w/Stage 3 colon cancer. His wife died last Nov from cancer. Now his kids will have to see him go through the same pain his wife had. No parent wants their kids to see them in agony. Those kids growing up too fast.
