On the 4th of December 2024, we are delighted to host “Ireland’s Future Food Systems”, at the School of Agriculture and Food Science.
This research symposium will highlight the significant transformation that is required for the development of our Future Food System in many of these areas with presentations and panel discussions focusing on the requirement for collaborative thinking and long-term strategic planning in both research and practice.
This event will feature ongoing research and insights from distinguished external speakers from academia and industry, including @ucddublin Vice President for UCD Research, Innovation and Impact Prof. Kate Robson Brown, AgTech Ireland COO Catherine Lascurettes and distinguished researchers from within the School of Agriculture and Food Science.

The Knowledge Transfer Conference 2024 was held on Wednesday, 23 October 2024 in in @teagasc , Ashtown.
The theme this year was "Agricultural Knowledge Exchange in a Changing World" and highlighted the importance of training and advisory skillsets in order to support innovation and practice adoption in the agri-food sector.
The event was co-hosted by Teagasc and the UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science.
On the day recent graduates of the in Agricultural Innovation Support; Rachel Clancy, Bryan Twomey and Emily Gowing were awarded prizes for their presentations at the event.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. Monica Gorman of University College Dublin said:
“This joint Teagasc/UCD conference is a great platform for the next generation of agricultural advisors and educators to share their research with the wider Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS), and start to shape the future of innovation support services for Irish farming."
