If there's one thing you do today, please read this thread from @UCLLSA. They interviewed students and faculty for the #IStandWithImmigrants day of action.
Their responses are exactly what this day is all about: https://t.co/2jI31Hqzy8
Ramiro: #IStandWithImmigrants because of the strong sense of community within immigrant communities. Because of the value of people from different cultures, and with different views of the world. Because of the love I have for my family and friends who are immigrants.
...In doing so, they bring culture and diversity to a country that is strengthened by sharing differences and learning from each other's wide array of experiences.
Kris: #IStandWithImmigrants bc I believe immigrants are woven into the foundation of this Country and the American Dream. This country is a melting pot--the different ideas/leaders that have arisen from the many cultures in America represents our greatest strength, not a weakness
Jacob: #IStandWithImmigrants because everyone should have the right to seek a better life or pursue the American Dream regardless of their national origin.
