As the cardinals prepare for their first vote in conclave, here are the voices of S2 pupils at @SL_TrinityHS expressing their hopes for the qualities of the new pope. Qualities include: grateful, wholesome, lighthearted, prayerful, caring, humble. Amen to that! 🙏

👐All welcome!
Renewing all of our Parishes is one of the key elements of Wellspring. We have decided that we will run quarterly events across the Diocese to discuss Parish Renewal, with a strong accent on spiritual growth. The overall objective is for us all to pray together and learn from each other as we all move through renewal.
The first event will be Monday 10th March from 7pm in Saint Bernadette’s Parish Hall in Motherwell. In addition to hearing the experience of 3 parishes who are well into their renewal journey, there will be plenty of opportunity for praying and reflecting together, as well as discussion and listening.
🎉NEW CATHEDRAL JUNIOR CHOIR🇻🇦
This evening marked the first rehearsal of our new Cathedral Junior Choir! After just one, short rehearsal, they are already sounding wonderful! Thanks to all the schools and families for their continued support of our programme.
Please continue to pray for the Holy Father, Pope Francis 🙏
On Sunday morning, the Holy See Press Office said Pope Francis had a peaceful ninth night in Rome's Gemelli hospital where he is being treated for double pneumonia.
The Holy Year 2025 theme, Pilgrims of Hope, will be marked with a walking pilgrimage from Motherwell Cathedral to St Andrews, covering approximately 110 miles in 10 stages. Starting on Thursday, 3rd April 2025, each stage will involve walking 10–12 miles every Thursday. The pilgrimage will be guided, with a chaplain expected to join for most stages.
There is no charge for participation, apart from transport back to the starting point each day. Minibus transport will be arranged for stages without public transport links. The route follows the Ladywell Way from Motherwell to North Queensferry, then continues along the Fife Pilgrim Way to St Andrews. The first stage is an 11-mile walk from Motherwell Cathedral to Caldercruix, passing Carfin’s National Marian Shrine and crossing moorland to Caldercruix.

As we celebrate the Epiphany this weekend, we have Blessed Chalk available for each family. I invite one person from each household to collect their chalk this weekend after Holy Mass.
This is an ancient tradition that not only places God at the entrance of your home, it places your entire family under his protection with the inscription 20 + C + M + B + 25 over your doorway.
May the Lord bless you and your families with love and peace this Christmas, and may our celebration of his birth bring renewed hope to all in hardship and distress.
