I believe Alberta should stay in Canada.
I believe Canada is worth fighting for.
If a question on Alberta staying in Canada is put to a referendum on October 19, I will be voting to stay.
Now let me tell you why the NDP's attacks today are completely dishonest.

The federal government’s decision to extend its firearms amnesty once again is an admission that its firearm confiscation scheme is ineffective and deeply flawed.
Ottawa should make the amnesty permanent and abandon its plan to confiscate legally acquired firearms from law-abiding Canadians. Gun confiscation programs will never stop gang violence, cross-border gun smuggling, and the criminal misuse of firearms. We will continue to use every lawful tool at our disposal to shield Albertans from any form of firearms confiscation.
Alberta believes in a principled, evidence-based approach to firearms policy that targets violent criminals and illegal guns, not responsible firearms owners who follow the law.
(And yes. That is a picture of me skeet shooting with friends.)

Exciting day for Alberta oil and our economy. Southbow has successfully completed its open season for its 550,000 barrel per day ‘Prairie Connector’ pipeline to the United States. This means thousands of great jobs for Albertans and Canadians for pipeline construction and the new oil production facilities and operations needed to fill it.
This investment was not possible 2 years ago under Trudeau’s and Guilbeault’s economic attacks on our province. But with the Alberta-Ottawa Energy Agreement in place and those 2 terrible laws and destructive politicians gone, we are on our way!
Just another sign that Alberta has turned the tide and our future is brighter than ever.
I call on the federal government to unequivocally support this project and provide any and all necessary permits when ultimately required.

At AICON today making the case for Alberta. We're leading the charge when it comes to using AI and we're sharing how it can ensure better, faster, and smarter services for Albertans.
Great energy at #UpperBound today! It was a packed house. Alberta is positioning itself as a North American leader in AI data centre infrastructure, and rooms like this are why. Great conversations with the folks at Beacon and Cologix. Thank you for having me!
The more certain the rules, the closer we get to a new pipeline to the west coast.
Great sign from Enbridge’s CEO following the signing of yesterday’s implementation agreement with Canada.

A new pipeline is not just good for Alberta, it’s good for Canada.
More revenue, more investment, and more jobs to build a stronger, more secure and independent future for Canada—I joined CBC to talk about it.
Great news Alberta!
A critical milestone has been reached under the Canada-Alberta energy agreement (MOU) so that our province can expect approval from the Federal Major Projects Office for actual construction of the West Coast Pipeline on or before September 1, 2027.
When achieved, this would be the fastest approval of a major oil pipeline from Alberta in a generation!
This project will deliver 1,000,000 new barrels of Alberta oil every single day to new Asian markets, creating jobs, strengthening our economy, and generating a phenomenal amount of wealth for Albertans and Canadians for decades to come.
And just as importantly, Alberta has successfully fought to permanently end Justin Trudeau’s punitive oil and gas production cap and roll back his absurdly high industrial carbon price to a much more realistic level that will save our job creators over $250 billion and protect the livelihoods of Alberta workers.
This is what happens when Alberta stands strong.

Today, I was proud to convene the inaugural meeting of Alberta’s Premier’s Investment Council.
This group brings together some of the top leaders from government, finance, energy, technology, Indigenous investment, agriculture, tourism, and economic development to help Alberta compete for the next generation of major global investment.
The goal is simple: move faster, work smarter, remove barriers, and make sure Alberta remains the best place in North America to invest, build, create jobs, and grow a business.
From AI and aerospace to energy and defence, Alberta is competing for billions in new investment and this council will help ensure we seize those opportunities for future generations.
It was great joining MLA Brandon Lunty for a fun event in his constituency last night.
Brandon is a strong advocate for his community and someone who works tirelessly to support the families, businesses, and residents of Leduc-Beaumont. His commitment to the people he serves is clear every single day.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support Alberta’s conservative movement. We remain strong because of grassroots supporters who continue showing up, getting involved, and fighting for a stronger future for our province.
Alberta’s classrooms are growing fast, and parents and teachers have made it clear that class size matters.
That’s why our government is investing $200 million through a new Class Size Reduction Grant to help hire more than 1,400 additional teachers and reduce pressure in K-to-Grade 9 classrooms across the province. This builds on the largest operational investment in education in Alberta’s history, alongside 161 new school projects underway across our province.
We’re taking practical action to support students, teachers, and families by improving learning conditions and ensuring Alberta’s education system keeps pace with our growing population.

What an incredible night in North Edmonton.
The energy in the room, the sold-out crowd, and the growing support we’re seeing across the city are a reminder that more and more Edmontonians are connecting with our message of safer communities, economic growth, lower taxes, and common sense government.
But none of this happens on its own. It happens because of grassroots conservatives who keep showing up, knocking doors, having conversations, and standing up for the future they want for Alberta and their families. Thank you for everyone who showed up, including colleagues Brandon Lunty, Jennifer Johnson, and Searle Turton @SearleTurton who took questions from the audience.
Alberta is taking action to meet the growing demand for skilled trades. Today, we will announce a major investment in NAIT to expand student capacity and prepare more Albertans for careers in technology and the trades https://t.co/v8XBnZHA4b
BREAKING: A Presidential permit has been approved for a new bitumen pipeline that will initially deliver more than half a million barrels per day of Alberta oil to facilities and refineries throughout the United States. This project is a joint venture between two great Canadian and US companies South Bow and Bridger using existing assets.
After years of advocacy from our government, and following the signing of the Canada-Alberta Energy Agreement last year, the federal government has lifted their oil and gas production cap. This means Alberta producers will be able to produce more of the oil that the world needs. It’s incredible to see that work already paying off with announcements like this.
The US is our most important trading partner and we will continue to deliver energy to help secure North American energy dominance.
Had a chance to catch up with my friend @PierrePoilievre last night after arriving in Ottawa.
We have a shared belief that governments should be focused on what matters: setting the conditions for job creation, affordability, strong public services, security, and the values of everyday citizens instead of political elites.
Canada’s conservative movement is stronger because of leaders like Pierre who continue fighting for people they serve 💪
