What happened since the Arsenal release? 👇

Since we launched Arsenal, we've rolled out loads of new features for Ultimate Champions to boost the player experience: Tournaments, Champ token release, Referral Program, Card booster, Auctions just to name a few!

... and yes, Ultimate Champions Basketball with the Euroleague in March this year!

We've welcomed around 100 new football clubs in a year ⚽ and 38 Basketball clubs 🏀 - extremely proud of the team.

What changed recently? 🛠️

Midway through the 22-23 season, we hit a realization: our current framework wasn't cut out for the long haul of the game.

So, we made some bold moves to correct that.

First up, we cut down on the massive supply of Packs 🎁 and bumped our marketplace fees from 5% to 15% 💸. This eased the pressure on card supply and is helping us find our footing financially.

Plus, we introduced a deflationary mechanism with the Card booster, leading to over 6000 cards being burnt in just a couple of months 🔥

Where are we now? 🤔

We're in a phase of stabilization, striking deals that make sense for the long-term health of the platform. And we're super excited to bring FC Barcelona on board with this new mindset! 🎉

We’re distributing drastically less supply (-50%), burning existing supply, and stabilizing our revenue, slowly but surely.

I believe that the tangible improvements from those tough decisions we made months ago will come to fruition over time and create a long-term sustainable framework.

What are our next steps for UC? 👊

Moving forward, our main focus will be on enhancing the platform's health and refining every feature we've released so far with quality-of-life improvements.

After continuously adding new features and clubs for over a year, it's time to polish and improve them all.

This will be our top priority in the coming months, along with making the platform fully responsive and mobile-friendly to welcome a higher amount of new players.

My 2 cents on the future 🔮

Today's a big win for UC and the community, but we've had our share of tough times too and I’d like to take a minute to reflect.

Our game's framework has the particularity that everyone's looking to profit, which can brew some long term negativity when it’s not the case.

It's important to remember that we're a game studio first and foremost. Our focus is on gaming 🎮, not gambling. Our goal? To make sure you have a blast with your friends and a really great community, not to guarantee financial gains.

If you're up for a good time, come and play - spend what you're comfortable with, just like any free-to-play game! 💰

I'm a fervent believer in web3 gaming frameworks, but I'm convinced that both businesses and communities need to approach it with that mentality to create long-term successful games.

We’ll keep making bold moves to create fun gaming experiences in web3. Our next moves at @Unagi_studio will make waves.

What a year 2023 has been for @UltiChamps

Looking back at 2023

We launched our biggest update yet to make the game sustainable 🌱 I cannot stretch how important this was for us and for web3 gaming as a whole

It's allowed our community to participate in our success and growth, and I've been thrilled to read about our OGs' successful strategies recently and how they’re acing it with fantastic ROIs 🚀

Our goal was always to bring a truly free-to-play game to web3, and I'm proud of the team for what they've achieved in 2023! We probably have the best free-to-play model in web3 right now. Not only is it sustainable, but it's also incredibly fun! Our brand new MGC store lets you choose from multiple options to get new NFTs… for free!! 🎁

That's been made possible thanks to the 15% marketplace fees we introduced, and because we now distribute/sell 60% fewer cards thanks to the auction mechanism that has replaced packs. Our goal is not just to keep card prices stable for our managers, but also to ensure that they increase in value over time 📈

Another highlight was @FCBarcelona joining our ranks! 🔵🔴 A show of confidence from one of the world’s biggest clubs, and a sign of more big clubs to come...

Looking ahead to 2024

We know there is still a lot to improve and trust me, 2024 will be MASSIVE for UC!!

Making the game experience smoother and less buggy remains our immediate priority. We've just restructured our QA department to bring you the cleanest UC experience possible for 2024 🧼

We’re also focusing on bringing you a mobile friendly game, with a fully-fledged, easy-to-use app as our end goal! 📱

The brand new UNA token is coming very soon to replace the CHAMP, offering so much more value to its holders than ever before 🪙

Plus, we’ve got a few exciting surprises launching this year that I can’t wait to share with you all!
