@Kramaleee@visegrad24 I don't think it is. They got cut off from Visa and Mastercard. Maybe also SWIFT?
How would they pay? We're not connected to their monetary system.
@Rainmaker1973 I didn't allow my son to get any shots, not because of distrust of vaccines but I find it ridiculous that we suddenly have to traumatize them, when my ancestors didn't have to do that and they all lived to 90.
So no. Hell no even.
@Atomic_Ferret@ekwufinance@realMiloslav It's such a shame about Venezuela honestly. The island next to me used to have a massive refinery for Venezuelan oil. Curacao.
They're shelving it though, which makes sense, it was a dirty mf. But it was nice having energy security in the region.
@sassyaix@AnatoliKopadze Sass, this is a commercial company volunteering for oversight, volunteering for regulation, and basically making decisions that are contrary to "make the most amount of money possible".
That alone is spelling out apocalyptic doom.
@SerhiiSeniuk7@Megatron_ron When was it turned into a geopolitical weapon?
I know about its potential, but what were the red-line moves by Russia that caused Europe to move away?
@TommyGunn0310@Megatron_ron I'm Dutch.
He's right about our situation.
The gas reserves situation is messed up. To make matter worse our own gas wells are plugged up due to the whole Groningen shaking issue. So if we run out we can.. actually run out.
Luckily the winter should be mild given El Nino.
@PAHoyeck They believed dogs could see beyond the veil, aka spirits.
Maybe they called alcohol spirits too somehow, or maybe there's actual spirits in them.
Then the joke is that the dogs opens the bottle to see a spirit, instead of drinking it.
@MikePTraffic@ABC7Chicago In the Netherlands we have pumps running river water over the bridge joints continuously during hot weather.
The water is there anyway, pumping costs are negligible.
@PaulSaladino7@nunnyabiz33@billlycakes@tjbate2000 Indeed I thought there was a way to make the oil itself lighter, but I was wrong. Even the processes to remove sulfur seem to apply to distillates.
Thanks for the explanation, it makes sense now.
@PaulSaladino7@nunnyabiz33@billlycakes@tjbate2000 You mentioned elsewhere that it can't be blended because it seperates in storage, which makes sense.
But can the Venezuelan crude be stored in the SPR after a (few) refining steps? To make it a lighter grade of oil. Is this possible?
@Kingeren22990@AlwoodNoBrains@WxNB_ So the land that slid had a glacier on top. The sliding movement creates massive amount of heat due to friction which then melted the ice.
Also below the glacier there's often pools of water, streams, etc., that's the start of the river. It all melted apparently.
@theepicmap A bit more than 500 years ago a tsunami wiped out the entire Caribbean. That's why Caribbean history starts in the 1500. That's probably why there's nothing there anymore.
@concernedAIguy@StefanBurnsGeo What's your point? 2026 isn't nearly complete yet. If we get big quakes this year it can easily surpass even 2021's energy release.
