NEW: In August, UT president's office reserved the LBJ auditorium for an unnamed event. That event, students realized this week, is TPUSA's Ben Shapiro talk Oct. 7.

With 3 days to go till the event, we needed $20,000 more dollars to fund this event. We were struggling to find the money, and then this community came in and supported us in ways no one else did. We at @UDems are eternally grateful!

Hasan Piker watched a clip from @majorityfm of Sam Seder taking a call from one of the students who work for @UDems who are trying their hardest to get Hasan Piker to speak at @UTAustin. The student talked about the death threats and blueprint planning of an attempted assassination of Hasan that some unhinged people have been engaging in online. The amount of hurdles that Hasan and the University Democrats have had to endure over the past few weeks to uphold their rights to free speech is insane.
