it was a pandemic!
a black swan!

same pattern ive been calling for months and months and months

Warren Buffett was asked if anyone could turn $10,000 into $15 million using Ben Graham's principles: "yes, if they didn't try and do too much the first week, it requires patience which a lot of people don't have"
"why doesn't everybody do it?" he answered - "because people would much rather be promised that they're going to win a lottery ticket next week than that they're going to get rich slowly"
this is him explaining why he doesn't care if the stock exchange closes for two years, why he refuses to buy high-tech companies he can't predict, and what he says is the single biggest trap for investors in volatile markets
"if your stock goes down 10% and that upsets you, it means you think the market knows more about the business than you do, and in that case, you're the patsy"
"if you're in a poker game for 30 minutes and you don't know who the patsy is, you're the patsy"

JUST IN: 🇺🇸 Senator Bill Hagerty tells Fox Business "We're going to have to pass the Clarity Act." 👀
"There's no way that we can allow the U.S. to fall behind in the digital assets arena." 👏
Peter Lynch: “You have to be looking for new companies and look at the balance sheet.
If you can add 5 and 5 and get reasonably close to 10, you should be able to look at a balance sheet and say: here are 2 depressed companies, they’ve gone from $50 to $3 dollars.
One company’s got $300 million in cash and no debt. One’s got $300 million in debt and no cash.
Which one are you gonna buy? Not too hard.”
Keep it simple.
"In the end, what counts is buying a good business at a decent price, and then forgetting about it for a long, long, long time. Some people can do it and some people can't."
— Warren Buffett
Last week, Russia’s Central Bank CUT its policy rate by 50 bps to 14.5%.
WRONG MOVE. RU’s inflation is at 5.9%/yr, ABOVE its 4% target.
RU’s Money Supply (M2) is growing at 11.4%/yr, ABOVE Hanke’s Golden Growth Rate of 8.4%/yr—a rate consistent with RU’s 4%/yr inflation rate.
