Our Prayer for the New Year? That We All Live "At the Cross". It is by God's grace alone that we can come to the cross and repent of our sins and receive salvation from our resurrected Saviour, Jesus Christ. "At the Cross" (our theme expression for 2026. All Him, none of us).
Look at these beautiful scarves! These were lovingly knitted by a 102 year old lady (!) who has been supporting UGM for a long time! These scarves are being modelled by our lovely Vanessa who works in UGM’s office. Our street guests will be so blessed by this!
On Dec. 22, 2025, the men in our addiction recovery program received gift bags with handmade toques, mitts, and other excellent items. These bags were put together with love by Les, Helmut, Solomon, and the assembly at Believers Bible Chapel (they have done this for 17 years!).
On Nov. 28, 2025, Christine, a resident of our women's addiction recovery program, graduated! She has completed the one-year program! Listen to this clip from her testimony at her grad. Please pray for her as she continues to walk with Jesus, free from addiction!
On Friday, December 19, 2025, during the men's class time, Mike, a resident in UGM's men's addiction recovery program, shared his testimony of God's saving grace, mercy, and power in his life. Take a listen!
@MillarCollege One of the best parts was watching two gentlemen in our addiction recovery program share with someone on the streets of the hope he could have in Jesus through the UGM program. They urged and implored this man to seek help, that it was available only through Jesus! Praise God!
Yesterday was our Songs of Hope event in the core of Winnipeg! We carolled, we handed out hot chocolate and apple cider, blankets, jackets, mitts, and bags with snacks, tracts, and other Christian materials in them.
We managed despite the cold, and were very thankful for winter clothing, and for @MillarCollege , who provided a rest stop for us halfway through. Although it is not easy to see people struggling, it was good to bring some light and some hope to these precious people in our city.
We are looking for some donations of turkeys for our Christmas meal, coming up on Jan. 3rd. If you are able, we would so appreciate it. You can drop them off at 320 Princess St. any time of day at our front blue doors! Thank you for your help and your generosity. Merry Christmas!
