It's been a while since we have posted as we have been busy with our Patient First improvement journey. This morning we gathered for our weekly improvement huddle where we discuss ideas to review the Day Hospital processes and service

October 2023 has been another great month for our Friends and Family feedback at the Day Hospital. Thank you to our patients and relatives who have taken the time to provide the feedback and such positive comments. Also our team of volunteers who encourage completion of the FFT.

So proud of our Day Hospital team with these fantastic Friends and Family Test results for August 2023. Well done to the whole team for all your efforts. It's great to receive feedback-good and bad, so we know what we are doing well and how we can improve for our patients. 🙂

Thank you to Siobhan Harrington and the UHD communications team for coming to us at the Christchurch site for the All Staff Briefing on Wednesday. Our Day Hospital staff were able to attend face to face, making us feel included and an integral part of the wider UHD team 🙂

Last week we said goodbye to our rotational band 5 physio Ken and OT Jake. We will miss them both but wish them all the best on their next rotations. We also welcomed this week our rotational OT Olivia, and physio Lauren. Welcome to the Day Hospital.

Fantastic Friends and Family feedback summary for July 2023 with 100% rating the Day Hospital services as 'Good' or 'Very good'. We are so grateful to our service users for taking the time to provide this feedback, and to our volunteers for facilitating the feedback process.

Staff on the Christchurch site were treated today to the UHD Cultural Celebration event, celebrating our diversity, inclusion and cultural uniqueness with a Philippines dancing display, ice creams and goodie bags. Thank you to all who organised this and brought it to Christchurch

Ready for our Day Hospital PDU Re-accreditation event today. We achieved Practice Development Unit accreditation with Bournemouth University in 2016, then re-accreditation in 2019. The aware reflects our dedication to evidence based practice as a unit.

This week, we said a temporary goodbye and good luck to Clinical Lead and senior physiotherapist Bex Marsh. Good luck Bex with your new bundle of joy and enjoy your maternity leave. We will miss you but look forward to meeting your new arrival 🤰👶🎉
