All of Oklahoma makes up fewer high schools than the greater Houston area.

@JOHN_MEREDITH2 this applies to the high school level nowadays. Head north, win a state title, maybe sign with OU…we don’t manage compliance in Oklahoma, so you can pretty much do whatever you want & we’ll be cheering you on…just not in Texas…b/c transfer rules are dumb

@Matt_Stepp817 Per rule 6.7 of the UIL futbol handbook, it’s referred to as a nutmeg in boys footy only. Rule 6.9, sub paragraph A, states that it’s called a clam chowder in lady futbol. We don’t make the rules, we just enforce them. Or something like that.

If you’re a HS kid probably nothing is going to happen w that bigger D1 school until after the portal closes. You also can’t expect D2/3/NAIA’s to wait around all day either. Hold out to potentially be a bigger team’s back up plan or hustle now to be a smaller team’s #1. There’s no right or wrong way - you’re just setting yourself up for different outcomes depending on what you do.
