Keeping Kenya safe is a responsibility we all share.

Today, we unveiled the Kenya Counter-Terrorism Hotline, 0800 900 900, giving every Kenyan a confidential channel to anonymously report concerns related to radicalisation, violent extremism and terrorism without fear of exposure.

Representing H.E. President @WilliamsRuto at the inauguration, I underscored the importance of strengthening trust and cooperation between citizens, communities and our security agencies. Timely information can prevent harm, protect lives and keep our communities safe.

The initiative also marks another milestone in Kenya’s security partnership with the United Kingdom and United States, strengthening community-based approaches to preventing and countering violent extremism and terrorism.

Security begins with all of us. When citizens and security agencies work together, we build a safer, more peaceful Kenya where our young people, families and businesses can thrive. 🇰🇪

The Ministry of Health, through the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, has strengthened Kenya’s medical emergency preparedness by training 50 officers from the Ministry and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

The one-week Structured Approach to Medical Major Incidents Train-the-Trainer course, delivered in collaboration with the British High Commission in Nairobi, brought together participants from 39 KMTC campuses. The officers gained practical skills to support timely and coordinated responses to major medical emergencies.

Assistant Director of Clinical Services Judy Kabathi called upon the newly certified trainers to share the knowledge with health workers and students. KMTC Deputy Director of Academics Professor Nyawira Mwangi welcomed continued collaboration in strengthening emergency care.

The trainers will cascade the skills across their campuses and health facilities, expanding the pool of national and county health workers trained in emergency response principles.
