As a veteran, I strongly urge all UK veterans to refuse the new digital Veterans ID card and if you already hold the physical version, consider handing it back in protest.
It is no coincidence that the government has chosen to start this scheme with veterans a group that has proven discipline, organisation, and the courage to stand up when something is wrong. By targeting us first, they’re testing how far they can go in normalising digital control over citizens.
Digital ID is not about convenience it’s about control. Once everything from your medical records to your finances and movement is linked to a central digital identity, you no longer control your life the system does. As a veteran when has the system ever wanted to look after you?
We’ve already seen how this works in China, where digital ID and social credit systems restrict access to basic freedoms. Make no mistake this is not a conspiracy theory. It is a documented progression towards total digital surveillance, disguised as efficiency and security.
Veterans have always stood for freedom, not compliance. Let’s stand together again and make it clear that we will not be the testing ground for digital tyranny.

@Telford_Escaper@RupertLowe10@rapeganginquiry Just to clarify when I say their own part to play in this, I mean their own part in how the story is broken. If somone is pregnant at 13 then the authorities should take action against the father as a horrendous crime has been commited. DNA is able to prove who the father is.
@Telford_Escaper@RupertLowe10@rapeganginquiry Correne you shouldn’t be apologising for anything. The system has failed you in many ways. I really think that each of you girls has their own part to play in this. Some are more stable and more suited to the public light being shone on them through the enquiry. Just stay strong!
At Wednesday's Full Council meeting, standing orders were suspended, and the precept was reduced by just under 500k, another victory for our tax-battered residents. Waiting on the video.
@TwitDinosaur@KatyBourne Crowborough is the Second Safest small town in East Sussex.
48% lower, regional crime rate South East
56% lower, national crime rate
Local Crime in Context
2026, the crime rate in Crowborough is 48% lower than the South East and 56% lower than the England, Wales & NI figure.
@misspaulalondon@SexyFishLondon Cocktail time! Paula, it should be support the Patriot time. When a PCC stands up for the people of Crowborough and puts her neck on the line, people should support her. You have the power to help her and the country with one retweet, so I beg you do the right thing. :-)
A crime panel has said it has "lost confidence" in Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne over her joining a march opposing an asylum seeker camp in Crowborough.

@KatyBourne This appears like a co-ordinated political attack. I have attended some of the scrutiny meetings and some of the people who led this raised concerns about the so called far-right riots in August 2024...for which you obtained a rebate as there were none. Cont'd...
@KatyBourne Far too many people in positions of responsibility choose silence over engagement. You chose to face the public on a divisive issue, and that shows real leadership. #Katy4Mayor
🚫 I won’t be pressured into silence.
Across Sussex, people have real concerns about what is happening around Crowborough Barracks. They are asking reasonable questions and they deserve straight answers.
I have been admonished for speaking up about those concerns. But if you try to admonish the person raising the questions on the public’s behalf, you are effectively admonishing the public for asking them in the first place.
This is not about personal politics. It is about respect. Residents should be able to voice worries without being dismissed, and public bodies should respond with transparency, not defensiveness.
So I will keep standing with local people, and I will keep pushing for clear answers.
Do you share these concerns and what is the one question you want answered most?
Priti Patel sets it straight: there will be NO pact with Reform. Full stop.
And let’s clear the nonsense up while we’re here — she did not call anyone “Nazis”. That’s a lie being pushed by people who thrive on outrage.
Now, logic time 👇
We all agree Reform is a nationalist party, right?
We also agree that lifting the two-child benefit cap, nationalising private industries, and expanding welfare are socialist policies, right?
So what do you call a nationalist party pushing socialist economics?
Exactly.
That’s why there’s no pact — and never should be.
The Conservative Party has exposed, through Freedom of Information requests, that the true cost of Keir Starmer’s Chagos Surrender Deal is £35 billion – ten times more than claimed.
Conservatives have dismantled Labour’s outrageous and offensive narrative that those who oppose the Chagos Surrender Deal are siding with Britain’s enemies. It is, in fact, our enemies who are backing Mauritius and the Chagos surrender.
Conservatives have fought for the rights of Chagossians, who have been betrayed by Labour.
We are the only party standing up for Britain and working hard to kill this terrible Bill.
Full Council 17/12/2025 I did try and stop this 120% precept raise to no avail. Anyway here is the video you decide for yourself. https://t.co/3vz3nnyfFh
I find it absolutely outrageous that a council can increase the annual precept by an unlimited amount without public approval. I will be attempting to fight this alone at the next full council meeting on Wednesday 17th dec.
