A new heat pump array in the gardens of Trinity College has involved a long narrow excavation by @UKTVAS that has revealed medieval features,early 18th c formal Dutch garden features & post-med waste/quarry pits.

The arrival of the Romans did no go unopposed. Locals may have even had support from Gaul, as the remains of this warrior found at North Bersted May suggest. Buried with his remarkable helmet and “ritually killed” sword, shield and spear, his leg bones suggest he was a horseman.
