New Ofsted guidance labels autistic children as more likely be extremists – it's grotesque .
Please join us at Parliament Square on Friday, 22 May to demand Ofsted treat autistic children and their families with the dignity they deserve .
@Ofstednews – remove the lie !
The current consultation surrounding the SEND reforms is a sham. It completely ignores the lived experiences of families while pushing forward an agenda that erodes parental rights under the guise of the Children Wellbeing Act.
Watch these two clips and tell me what they have in common. The lack of understanding towards the struggles so many families face. The lack of awareness of the cost of living crisis and the decimation of the systems that should be supporting parents. Telling, to say the
It is enough.
ICARS has presented the Government with 560 examples of the use of force in England’s schools.
Children who reported they could not breathe.
In multiple DfE meetings on the 2026 guidance, we asked for a legal ban on life-threatening restraint.
They were warned.
They have the evidence.
They know the risk.
If a child is seriously harmed or dies after government has been placed on notice, this will not be an accident. It will raise serious questions about public accountability, legal responsibility, and a foreseeable failure to act.

Enough.
Do your jobs.
X, do your thing. This needs to go viral. #AgainstRestraint
Everyone ignored the warnings when we said the Children’s Wellbeing Bill would bring in digital ID. Now that a universal Digital ID is in the King's Speech, people finally pay attention. It’s for everyone, not just kids, with no opt-out. Family privacy is completely lost.
Another pupil adds: “Since year nine, I have gone to the toilet twice. You can’t go, you have to wait for a member of SLT to escort you from lessons. They have to escort you to the toilet, and escort you back. And if they don’t come, you can’t go.”
@HackedOffHugh “To send children to school to get their data ‘stolen’ for commercial purposes—surely that should be illegal?” Perhaps parents should demand the government stops its own DfE distribution of millions of pupils’ data for commercial reuse and gives us a say.

GP practices across England are being urged by the BMA to take part in collective action. This follows insufficient assurances from the Govt in response to widespread concern over the 2026/27 contract that was imposed, despite it was rejected by 99% of GPs https://t.co/GrTgtJ8uC8
Our Director, Amina Khanom, has joined nearly 150 organisations calling on the Government to change course on migration proposals that risk leaving hundreds of thousands of children in poverty and fear.
"We advocate for welcome, not hardship."

🧵1/ In light of the new research on school cell phone ban effectiveness, it is time to ask how these policies came to be, who pushed them, how much money has been spent lobbying for them globally, and who profits when schools are told the answer is a locked pouch.
Because this is no longer just a debate about phones.

Have you written to your MP about the Schools White Paper #SENDReform proposals? If you've been meaning to but it seems a lot, try the tool we've created on the #SaveOurChildrensRights website, which makes it much easier to get your points across: https://t.co/uZdsfQ1kBg
Bridget Phillipson & Labour’s #CSWB is a mental health ticking time bomb. Forcing traumatised children back into the systems that failed them will lead to a spike in suicides and total burnout. Surveillance isn't safeguarding—it’s state-sponsored harm.
Parents tell us they started home educating because they wanted their child to love learning again — not just complete worksheets or survive the school day. Home education allows you to ask "What actually works for my child" and to rebuild learning from the ground up. #homeeduk
Local Authorities must continue to follow the current guidance on home education. There will be a consultation about the new EHE guidance before anything changes. Make sure you are signed up to receive our newsletter so you can be notified when the consultation is released.
GPs in England are launching collective action TODAY, after our GP committee voted that Government proposals don’t go far enough.
We’re taking action on data sharing agreements, because policy proposals have not gone far enough to convince GPs that the profession will be protected.

“Home education in England is not a loophole. It is the default legal position - education has always been the parent's responsibility, with the state's role being to provide a school place for those who want one. This Act fundamentally alters that balance..” Sarah Ockenden
