Another excellent plenary lecture by Prof. Haruhiko Bito (Tokyo) - Capturing and measuring circuit dynamics in active ensembles during cognition. Stability of circuit activity and new XCaMPs for calcium imaging.
Excellent Tauopathy Session this afternoon with Tau mineral water!!! Dr. Kathryn Bowles (UK-DRI@Edinburgh) and Prof. Wendy Noble gave fantastic talks. Specifically, new humanised organoid Tau model may open the gate for new avenue of tauopathy.
5th UK-Japan Neuroscience Symposium in Wales (31/Aug-2/Sep 2023). Plenary Lecturers by Profs Trevor Robbins (Cambridge) and Hruhiko Bito (Tokyo). Organisers: Kei Cho, Kevin Fox, Masahisa Katsuno, Tom Mcpherson, Gaynor Smith, Jemeen Sreedharan & Akiko Hayashi-Takagi.
One of the many highlights of the symposium was the presentation from 2014 Nobel Prize winner John O'Keefe on the history of the navigational system in the brain.
