🚓💙 Officer Mann surprised the 5-year-old class at Explorers Inc. He’s not just any VIP… he’s married to their teacher! He brought surprise treats, and the kids gave him the sweetest notes.
“Don’t let the bad guys win. From: Mrs. Mann’s favorite student. To: Her man.”
At 44, Sgt. Gerri Green got a second chance—a wake-up call to choose health over burnout. Now he’s helping other officers do the same. New wellness initiative launches this week. Watch his story on @supertalk + stay tuned. #OfficerWellness#AnythingButRoutine

Congratulations to UMMC Chief of Police Mary Eileen Paradis, who received the 2025 Innovations in Community Policing Award from IACLEA! 🏆
This international honor recognizes her commitment to evidence-based crime prevention and community partnerships. #UMMCPolice
In 2005, Capt. Luke Price and Officer Beacham crossed the stage at MLEOTA. Today, their friendship and teamwork keep both UMMC and the GV (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center safer. Some call it community policing — we call it great company.

🚔 Locked out at UMMC? We’ve got you!
Call us at (601) 984-1360 — we’ll send help. 🚗🔓
☀️ Reminder: NEVER leave kids or pets in parked cars — heat rises fast and it can be deadly.

🚔 Officer Spotlight: Officer Marquis Mann 👏
After a tough shift, a NSICU team member’s car wouldn’t start — but Officer Mann came to the rescue! He not only jump-started it but also taught her how to use jumper cables.
Kindness + service = 💯
🦅Last Call 🚔
We bid a proud and heartfelt farewell to Sgt. Keidron Miller, who is departing UMMC Police for medical training with the Armed Forces. During a last call, we call the officer’s badge number over the radio to wish them well.
🚨👮♂️ Judo know what’s happening here? Sgt. Miller knows how to keep the streets safe and throw down some serious technique. 🥋💥 He's been training in judo for 12 years!
Today’s move: Osoto Gari.
Thanks to Captain Horn for helping demonstrate this self defense move.

🚔💙 Service Beyond the Shift 👏
While visiting UMMC's Child Inpatient Services, Officer Kerlin heard they've never had a football. So what did he do? He went out and bought one himself. 🏈
The kids now have another way to just be kids. 💛

While traveling, Chief Mary Paradis ran into DJ Daniel — a young warrior who is fighting brain cancer.
DJ has been sworn in to 1,351 law enforcement agencies. Now, DJ will visit Jackson to be sworn in to UMMC Police!
DJ, We can’t wait to welcome you to our ranks. 💛
