UNBS has also established an MSMEs' desk to handle all MSMEs issues, increased MSMEs' awareness and training and decentralised UNBS services to Mbale for the Eastern region, Gulu for the Northern Region and Mbarara for the Western Region - Mr. David Livingstone Ebiru - @UNBS_ED
UNBS encourages MSMEs to join associations to benefit from economies of scale like free standards, free training & advisory services from UNBS.
Special thanks to MSME leadership that has made this possible like @TUNADO_Bees@USSIAssociation@UWEAL_Ug@MastercardFdn - Mr. Ebiru
UNBS is also pushing for the One standard, One market movement at the continental level under the African Organisation for Standardisation (@ARSO_1977 ). This will enable free movement of MSMEs' goods in ARSO member states across the continent - Mr. David Livingstone Ebiru.
UNBS is pushing for a One standard, One market movement. UNBS has harmonized Uganda standards with EAC member states' quality standards. This means that MSMEs' goods, certified by UNBS can be sold in the EAC without quality disruptions - Mr. David Livingstone Ebiru - @UNBS_ED
Implementation of Standards by MSMEs is important because Quality is key. We need to build a quality culture that will open markets for MSMEs outside Uganda - Mr. David Livingstone Ebiru - @UNBS_ED#MSMEday21#QualityEverywhere

As policy makers looking at the future of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), we have to ensure that these MSMEs emerge stronger during and post COVID-19 - Mr. David Livingstone Ebiru - @UNBS_ED#MSMEday21#QualityEverywhere
When we talk about resilience, MSMEs in Uganda are doing better than others in the world because most of our inputs are locally sourced, given that most MSMEs are agro-based & Uganda is an agro-based country - Mr. David Livingstone Ebiru - @UNBS_ED#MSMEday21#QualityEverywhere
The Impact of COVID on MSMEs cannot be overlooked. COVID has disrupted a number of supply chains and economic activities leading to distress in the economy - David Livingstone Ebiru - @UNBS_ED#MSMEday21#QualityEverywhere
