I completely encourage self-advocacy. BUT only if you feel safe/ready to do so. In some positions, like grad student, self-advocacy can trigger punitive actions. I.e. You’re being aggressive so now you can only talk to X admin. It’s important to push, but pushing comes at a price
PhD studies are the highest level of #education, and the road can be frustrating and exhausting at times, but the final result (your #dissertation) is at the same time a major achievement in life, and a very rewarding event.#MotivationalMonday@PhDTalk
Sometimes you can't find a Master's/PhD supervisor who is a "big name" AND your biggest supporter. Choose your supervisor wisely, because having a supervisor who is your champion will get you a lot further than someone who is good for your career in name only.

Schedule in your days off and your self care like they are critical time points in a protocol, because they are. Self care is not just a reward for hard work, it is a critical component to working hard.

Her handler is one of our clinical students, Victoria. She often comes to work (and class) with Victoria, so we all know that anyone who loves dogs should try to match their classes with her!
