Drylands now cover 40.6% of the planet, and climate change is accelerating land degradation across Asia & the Pacific.

Mongolia, Iran, China, India & Afghanistan are facing shrinking water sources, degraded soils & rising sand & dust storms.

UNDP is helping countries scale up land restoration, sustainable water management and soil protection, while supporting systems that forecast, prepare for and reduce the impact of sand and dust storms.
