We received a question from Andrea in Bellevue about watering trees, shrubs, and perennials during the winter months. This week, temperatures are expected to be in the high 40's to low 50's across the state. This will be an ideal time to give your plants a drink. Just make sure the water is soaked in by midafternoon, so a layer of ice doesn't form during those overnight freezing temperatures, which would cause future issues.
