Provocations is a book series published by the University of Nebraska Press and is edited by Marco Abel and Roland Vegso, both English professors at UNL.
Exploring films by Lars von Trier, Kelly Reichardt, Daniel Kwan, & Daniel Scheinert, THE EARTH IS EVIL examines the connection between subjectivity & lack, arguing for a destituent ecology that sees lack as the universalist core of social, political, and environmental struggles.
We're looking forward to the October 2025 publication of our 10th book, Steven Swarbrick's THE EARTH IS EVIL. Available now for pre-order via, inter alia, @UnivNebPress.

I am both happy and terrified this new bilingual collection of poems is coming out. It is about the intergalactic sadness that lingers after the fury, after the rage at a world that is crumbling. Pre-sale at a discount here https://t.co/ajS6NAJWCX
