CAREER-HIGH RANKING | Frances Tiafoe will be the new world No 8 following his US Open semi-final run.

The 28-year-old American now has his sights set on qualifying for the ATP Finals for the first time.

Speaking to press Friday, Big Foe said: “I want to be there, I want to play.

“That’s a testament to the year that you played really well from top to bottom and that’s something I really want to do.

“It was a big thing I wrote on my vision board and I want to get there.”

The No 1 seeds beat American wildcards Robin Montgomery and Ashlyn Krueger 5-7, 6-0, 6-2 in Friday’s #USOpen doubles final.

During her victory speech, Townsend said:

“I take a lot of pride in this being a black woman here. It’s two black women here in this final. They’re two black men in the semi-finals and this is a phenomenal time for tennis, for inspiration, for representation.
