APDA（アジア人口・開発協会）主催による「生命（いのち）の安全教育：尊厳を守る教育に関するアジア議員会議」が開催され、オンライン参加も含め10を超える国と地域、４つのセッションに約20人のスピーカーが参加しました。
「生命（いのち）の安全教育」について法的枠組み、学校教育の現状と課題他について事例発表がなされ、各国の状況から教訓を学び合う貴重な機会となりました。
私は「性暴力のない社会を目指す議員連盟」の会長として、またJPFP（国際人口問題懇談会）の会長として、これまで取り組んできた刑法の改正、保護体制の充実強化、人間の尊厳を基本に子どもたち自らが心と身体を守る力を育む「生命（いのち）の安全教育」について、基調講演しました。

私が呼びかけ人代表を務め、今年２月に立ち上げた「腎疾患を軸に医療の未来を拓く会」の第5回勉強会を本日開催しました。

この間、５月には、「緩和ケア」について取りま��めた提言が来年度予算の基本方針「骨太の方針」に初めて盛り込まれた他、９月には、日本腎臓学会・日本透析医学会・日本緩和医療学会の３学会により作成された『腎不全患者のための緩和ケアガイダンス』が公表されるなど、大きな前進が見られました。

富士山をめぐる静岡と英国との交流は、ラザフォード・オールコック初代英国公使が、外国人として初めて富士山に登頂された1860年に遡ります。
大使館内には、登山の様子も詳しく書かれたオールコック公の自著『大君の都』の初版本のほか、公使一行７名の様子を書きとめた造酒屋の当主の日記『袖日記』など古文書や資料も展示され、興��深く拝見させて頂きました。

未来につなぐ日英交流の歴史に、富士山頂での「献上茶」の奉納が加わりました。

昨年の広島、長崎の平和記念式典には、外務大臣として公式に出席。
今年は戦後80年の節目の年、核のない平和な国際社会を次代につなぐため日本は何をすべきか。
