Advancing Clinical Research in Uttar Pradesh
UP Promote Pharma Council (UPPPC), Government of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with the Indian Society for Clinical Research (ISCR), organised a one-day webinar on UP-IMRAS, bringing together 300+ participants from across India representing industry, academia, CROs and regulatory affairs.

A significant step towards strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s advanced medical-device manufacturing ecosystem.
On 08 September 2026, Uttar Pradesh Promote Pharma Council (UPPPC), Lucknow, along with the SS Innovation team, held an investor facilitation meeting with the CEO, YEIDA, ACEO and senior officials at the YEIDA Office, Greater Noida.
Discussions focused on facilitating SS Innovation’s proposed R&D & manufacturing setup for advanced robotic surgical devices at the YEIDA Medical Device Park, with an envisaged investment of ₹800+ Cr in Phase-I and ₹5,000+ Cr over 5 years.
The project is poised to strengthen India’s medical-device ecosystem, promote import substitution, create skilled employment and enhance UP’s position as a hub for advanced medical-device innovation and manufacturing.

BioE3 Working Committee Meeting was convened at Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan, Lucknow, under the leadership of the Uttar Pradesh Promote Pharma Council (UPPPC), bringing together distinguished experts and institutional leaders to shape Uttar Pradesh’s BioE3 vision.
Representatives and domain experts from CSIR-CDRI, CSIR-CIMAP, CSIR-IITR, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, CBMR and NIPER Raebareli deliberated on the institutional framework, strategic priorities and key thematic areas for establishing a dedicated BioE3 Cell in Uttar Pradesh.
