For last week’s High Sierra mission I joined Jordan Cannon on Trapezoid Peak to climb the route Shield of Dream, a really beautiful 5 pitch 5.13b put up by Andy Puhvel and Chase Leary. I didn’t get any photos of the climbing (it was great, really nice rock) but I took a bunch from the scenic approach and descent. With Jordan’s beta I managed to flash, which continued a rather satisfying streak this summer. I mostly train in my garage and then go out once a week to climb something that I’m proud of. Sadly, on the hike out Jordan trundled a giant boulder on himself and gashed his heel…
