Previously Primary schools (at FEASSA) have been participating in four disciplines, namely football, netball, volleyball and athletics. There has now been an increment to seven disciplines.

Today, we welcomed the Uganda Cubs back home from Morocco, where they represented the nation at the TotalEnergies U-17 AFCON tournament.

The team secured qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup after defeating Ghana 8–7 in a penalty shootout following a 2–2 draw in the playoff match.

This back-to-back qualification is a clear testament to Uganda’s rapidly growing talent development structures and strategic investments in youth football, including the implementation of the Technical Master Plan. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the players, the technical team, and the people of Uganda upon this remarkable milestone.

I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Government of Uganda for its continued support, as well as to the FUFA Executive Committee and staff for their financial support and dedicated efforts toward this historic achievement.

Yesterday, we concluded a two-day School Sports evaluation retreat, chaired by the Commissioner for Physical Education and Sports, Rev. Can. Dr. Duncans Mugumya, which focused on reviewing the year 2024 and developing strategies for 2025.

The international school sports bodies such as @ISFsports and Federation of Africa Schools donot recognize the current two associations as separate.

However, these two entities will remain independent in running their activities as per the National Sports Act.

The main purpose of this Federation will be for preparing teams for international engagements and affiliating to the international bodies.
