THAT is the ideal that Lord Zuko and Avatar Aang set forth when this nation was founded. And that is the ideal that I just swore an oath to uphold.

I see nothing but a bright future ahead for the United Republic.

Now it's time to get to work!

[President Zhu Li Moon 𑁍 @URN_President]

Good morning. Thank you for your trust in us. I am proud to once again stand before you as your President.

Time and time again we have been tested, and every single time, we have come out on top.

[President Zhu Li Moon 𑁍 @URN_President]

We are the most advanced nation in the history of the world. A true utopia where benders, non-benders, water tribe, earth kingdom, fire nation, and air nation can all come together and live in peace and harmony.

I want to clarify that the Equalists will receive a majority in the Republic City council.

The federal Council will remain with a plurality of my party, with power-sharing agreements being worked on for control over the House and Senate.

[President Zhu Li Moon 𑁍 @URN_President]

Good morning.

I stand before you today in my official capacity as President of the United Republic.

A few days ago, we had an election, and the people made their voices heard.

[President Zhu Li Moon 𑁍 @URN_President]

Finally, let me summarize our official stance.

Amon and his Equalists will enter our government. We owe them the chance to lead.

The Moon Administration will work together where we have mutual interests.

My team and I are currently discussing if a Senator-elect can be replaced by a party after they resign before taking office.

According to Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution ... if Vacancies happen by Resignation, or otherwise, the Governor shall fill such vacancies.

“ Very well. Choose time and place. I'll be there, madame ”

[President Zhu Li Moon 𑁍 @URN_President]

That's Madam President to you, and I will gladly agree to a debate.

One thing I am immensely proud of is our transparency.

Anyone can ask the government whatever they may wish and expect an answer.

The United Republic will never allow such a violation of people's rights as long as I sit at this desk.

[President Zhu Li Moon 𑁍 @URN_President]

My administration will not choose between what crime is committed by whom.

Crime is crime. No matter how it is carried out.

Harassment and intimidation are crimes.

[President Zhu Li Moon 𑁍 @URN_President]

FACT:
The Moon administration oversaw the prosecution of a record number of crimes involving a bending discipline as the primary weapon.

The punishments handed down by tribunals ranged from house arrest to imprisonment, but no bender was forced to surrender their art.
